Event Details

 

1.   Hear from VIPs and government leaders that support veteran opportunities.

2.    Meet with people from agencies, TA organizations and companies that can help you learn more about your opportunities as a veteran. Find out how to set an appointment with them later to focus on you. 

3.    Find out about VA benefits, how to file or appeal a compensation case, grants and educational and training opportunities and resources you've earned.

4.   Visit Information Stations and gather resources to help make your life better. 

5.    Listen to panels to see what jobs and contracts are available and how to access them and how to win smarter.

6.   Stop by the Job Seekers, Job Creation and Innovation Station. Get registered and fill out surveys for training opportunities that prepare you for new jobs and careers.  Bring those resumes for full time, part-time, seasonal jobs and internships profiles for new careers or teaming opportunities.

7.    See the Veteran and Service Disabled Veteran and Military Showcase Information Station for veterans introducing their businesses.  Veterans sell all types of products and services, for the PX or retail store, to Medical Centers or other government or commercial entities, etc. 

8.    Find out resources to help you start your own business. Some veterans and military including authors and motivational speakers will have promotional literature promoting products or services they offer to you or to team with another company, be a sub-contractor or a general contractor.

9.      Bring Your Business Cards, brochures and flyers to promote your business, so you can network too.

10.    A Must Stop by the Financial Emergency Preparedness and Mobile Stand down Resource Station.  foreclosure prevention and intervention, CWT, education, training , housing, grants, budgeting & tax tips. Banking, insurance, social security, estate planning, investment tips and a Basic Blue Print for developing your Own Financial Emergency Plan.

11.    Browse at the Sports, Culture, Writers and Art Station and meet the people that offer mostly free opportunities for veterans, including those physically challenged veterans.  Find out how you can start participating in sports such as Scuba diving, horseback riding, golf, basketball, soccer, archery and fitness.    Find out about Art and poetry workshops and outings, you can join now .

12.    Enjoy refreshments and share in the excitement of awards with people; veterans and non veterans that have made a positive difference in the lives of the veterans and military community.
